Vanity Overrides Practicality!

Justifies Every Outfit.

In store at Toscana:
Dalia Sequined Jacket $369-
Odele Beaded Singlet $249-
Carissa sequined top $258-
It's always exciting at this time of the year when there are some beautiful clothes on the racks, and it is warming up enough to actually wear them.  I find here on the GC we forget how hot it is over Summer.

Unless you have an event and you really do need to buy something or you find some "one off" pieces I would wait until you know what you need. I have bought heaps of pants lately, and whilst they are good now, in a few weeks time and for the rest of summer it's going to be too hot to wear them.

Unless of course they are fantastic pants and you "have" to wear them, then there is always "Vanity overrides practicality".  I LOVE this little quote because it is the perfect excuse to wear whatever you want despite the elements.  My friend Fiona and I made it up when we went to the races in Stanthorpe once. It was freezing (in Oct), and we wore summer dresses, because they were new and we were busting to wear them. "Vanity Overrides Practicality" was born! It justifies those times when you are going to wear whatever you want despite the elements!  For the record Fe and I did freeze that day, despite the fact we thought we looked fantastic in our new summer dresses!

In store at Toscana.
Dahlia Beaded Jacket
in Persimmon $369-
Louche Gabi
Beaded singlet $229
In store at Toscana.
Cami $69-

"One Off" pieces can be found at Toscana.

There are some beautiful sequined jackets and tops at Toscana at the moment. They are pieces that you will have in your cupboard forever and won't date.  The Odele Beaded singlet is my pick, and the Dalia sequined jacket is a very handy item for any wardrobe.

There are some beautiful cotton camis in store. Priced at $69 you can't go wrong. They are perfect for the warmer weather. It's hard to see on the photo, but they have a nice trim on the hem line, and the straps are adjustable.  It's a must have for Summer.

Next week I'll have some Melbourne Cup fashions, and hopefully (fingers crossed) the new page, www.dressmegc.com will go Live.

Advertising on Dress Me GC Blog is varied depending on the content of the blog. It uses 'key words' and matches adds relevant to the daily topic. On Tuesdays Blog:" Maintenance" http://dressmegc.blogspot.com.au/2012/10/maintenance.html I showed the new haviana thongs by Sass & Bide.  My page had adds for Haviana thongs and Sass & Bide - double bonus! lol!

The reason I am explaining this is that if the topic interests you, the adds may interest you too?  Please be careful buying online and don't be too quick to hand over your credit card number. As a general rule, if they look dodgy and they don't take paypal - they probably are.

Talk Tomorrow.
