Happy New Year

Welcome Back Dress Me GC-ers!

NYE at Tedder & Woodroffe
with girlfriends and
Lifesaver and BFF Neighbour.
How is everyone? What has been happening? Who has shopped? Who hasn't shopped? And what have you been buying?

Dress Me GC was hoping to welcome you to our new home of blogging, - yes the broken down record is still playing - and I am happy to report that the IT dept has been working all holidays and we are days away from going live.  As Miss Six would say - "For Real!"  So www.dressmegc.com is very close to being real and for the record if I knew how hard it was going to be and the heartache involved (sounds dramatic, doesn't it?) I would NEVER have decided to move!

Now is the time to hit the shops... Everything is at least 20% cheaper than it was last week. Seed Femme is 40% of the reduced price! Insane!  Seed kids is a further 20% off, Witchery is further reduced, Myer is.....Everyone is!  Dress Me GC is VERY excited that The Love of My life has returned to work and I can bring the shopping bags straight in the house without leaving them in the boot of the car! Happy Days.

"Where did that cork go?"
 Beach side Picnic with
the neighbours on NYE.
Neighbours - I LOVE!  They are a tolerant bunch. Dress Me GC, The Love of My Life, our four kids, and Sammy (chief of staff at Dress Me GC Headquarters) live in a unit. To say we are high profile in our "block" is probably an understatement, but I can't imagine living anywhere else.

The Love of My life works long, long hours so I absolutely love the company of my flat mates - We all live so close together we may as well be in one house!

Whether it is poolside drinks while the kids swim, surfing with my 8,10 and 12 years old sons, picnics on the beach, way too many vodkas in the bars across the road or borrowing milk, sugar, and shoes, (and pinching champagne),  I have to say I have hit the jackpot!  Thank-you.

Happy Holidays - It's nice to be back. Dress Me GC will share some Shopping adventures in the next few blogs.  The Magic Millions is on over the next few weeks. We are going to a lunch next Wednesday at Versace. Tickets are $125 each. Dress Me GC is going. If you want to join us, you are very welcome. Don't be shy. Cut off is about now so if you want to go - HURRY!! Message me, email me, comment on the blog.... It's going to be good fun.

Thank-you for your lovely messages and thoughts over the break.  It's nice to be back in touch.

I'll leave you with a photo of my 12 year old son somersaulting off the sand dunes...

Talk Tomorrow....

PS. On a completely different topic ... it's all very well to get long lasting shellac every now and again to looked groomed and pretty but .... when you are back at work and desperately need the chipped shellac taken off (because you can't bear to look like a cheap bogan for one second longer) - how does one remove said baked on paint from ones nails without a chisel or ripping your nails off completely ... ????

Use Acetone. You can buy it at Bunnings. Soak cotton wool balls in the acetone, put them on you fingertips or toes and wrap alfoil around. Soak for 5-10 or until the polish bubbles or peels. Scrape off and hydrate fingers and nails.
