I think its true. I have girlfriends who go out wanting men to look at them and comment on how they look. Then there are the others who love to get dressed up, go out and have a great time and hope other women will like what they wear.
Then it got me thinking that half the fun of going out is the preparation, and the actual build-up to the event.

I've scored a last minute invite to a lunch tomorrow (thanks to my life saver nieghbour and BFF), and because it's in Surfers Paradise and only 5 minutes from home, I am going to ride my bike there and back. I'll put my havis in the bike basket, so I don't break my neck riding with heels on. This will be a test for the GHD's - I can't arrive with "helmet hair"!!

Riding your bike to lunch is very French! Tres chic! They don't have to wear helmets there....did I tell you I used to live in Paris?? It's a bit like your trip to Japan....lots of mileage from 6 months 8 years ago, but what an amazing 6 months!! Actually it was 5 months!!
Paris, Japan...love it! Bike riding is the way to go.
