Fluro - for or against?
FLURO! It's everywhere this Spring/Summer. I put it in the category of the floral pants. I am not against it, however I am not sure it's for me. With a risk of repeating myself, just because it's the latest and greatest it doesn't mean it's for me.
The fluro trend gives me the horrors from way back when my BFF Sheridan wore black tights, an oversized white t-shirt with CHOOSE LIFE on it in fluro and matching fluro socks. I hated that look then!
At the party on the week-end Helen had the fluro thing going and she actually had me thinking I could give it a go? She had all black on and teamed it up with a fluro yellow skull ring, bronze and fluro yellow earrings and black heels with a fluro yello band on the sole. I liked it, because it wasn't fashion victim stuff. Helen looked like she knew what was in fashion without trying too hard. It was a nice suttle way of following the latest trend.
Seed www.seedheritage.com have mixed animal print with fluro on sandals and it's ok. Actually I quite like them, however I have about 100 pairs of sandals from the last two seasons that I have hardly worn, so the thought of buying more shoes is not that appealing. However I suppose if I really LOVED them I'd buy them? I do however love the matching clutches.
So I suppose it's nice to have a bit of colour for summer, just don't over do it. Please.
Talk tomorrow....

I absolutely love love love those sandals but I must admit the fluro thing does take me back to my youth. It reminds me of the day I went into Sports girls as a young Year 10 or 11 girl to buy an 'outfit' to wear to the upcoming U2 Under a Blood Red Sky Concert (now that's showing my age). Or was it a Thompson Twins or Police Concert ? - I digress. Anyway, I came out of Sportsgirl with a fluro pink tube skirt , an over sized off the shoulder fluro pink and white striped t-shirt and a wide belt to wear slouched on my hips ... I felt so groovy, hip and uber trendy with my new kit. So now the fluro is coming back ... I'm just not sure about fluro in anything other than small doses at my age but I must say I'm rather partial to those sandals and living on the GC one can never have enough sandals - esp with a bit of bling (aka fluro).
PS. I should have bought those beautiful Diane Von Fustenberg sandals I saw in Syd a few months back with the soft blonde leather straps and the silver and fluro pink detail - just gorgeous !!!!
I agree Caz. I can still remember the fluro outfits my friends and I wore to our school disco.......Arrrrrr the horror! Pass
FOR: I stole this one from Belynda the other day and have used it heaps of times to dress up the basic black and get comments every time. It helps I have a pair of Ari earrings in the exact same colour. Not sure how long this trend will last though but will enjoy it while it lasts.

(I'm just joining in cause I'm stalking Deb and want to be her when I grow up).
Hmmmm, I don't have too many sandals! I like these!
Quite often Seed shoes sell out in the popular sizes so I wouldn't hesitate. At $129.95 they are good buying.
I think with fluro less is more. The patent clutch is perfect. Teamed with a lamb & Hide coloured cuff Is perfect.
Love it Sarah! I think you have convinced me to get a pair....mmmm....which colour?
Can you get them on line?
Photos please Nat?! Lol!!
I just bought a pop of fluro! The Ship Ahoy T from All About Eve. Stripe 3/4 t-shirt with fluro pink at the top. I think that may be as far as I will go though as I do remember the trend the first time around!
